No noise on the DC output, which can supply full current in the complete voltage range. The AC output has no connection to the DC output and is continuously adjustable and can supply full current in the complete range (regardless of the load on the DC output).
The power supply’s relatively low weight is due to the use of annular core transformers, which also give a high degree of efficiency.
